Hugo Meert - Ming Miao Ko

Research into function, beauty and design led ceramicist Hugo Meert to create an entirely personal sphere of operation which oscillates between art and design, craft and industry. He likes to divert objects into ambiguous images in an iconoclastic attitude but with humor and sensuality.
Ming Miao Ko, focusses on the 'fluidity' between materiality and corporeality. She obscures the borders between the body and object, human and non-human, sexuality and reproduction. In her works, she reinvents metaphors with symbols, shapes, and associations by casting elements from nature, daily life, and the human body parts. She reinterprets those elements which are referring to sex, reproduction, and sensuality.

Both artists bring different independent factors together in a challenging symbiosis.
