The hidden world of animals has fascinated Merel Cremers for as long as she can remember and gives the animal a central role in her work. It figures as the main character, but also rubs against decoration. Ceramics is her main medium, but also drawing, engraving, painting sly hair close to the heart. At BADAFF she shows a series of wall objects. Traditionally, decorative boards or bowls and tiles are objects that tell stories, this is something she builds on. Sometimes this happens in one work in itself, sometimes in the mutual combination, by hanging them up in a certain way. There is no fixed composition, just like a work of hers in someone's possession, reconnects with his environment and thus creates a new story.
